We’ll be back! 2020 camping and glamping near Folkestone

The end of our second season of camping and glamping near Folkestone

Autumn has arrived and Pete’s Field pop-up camping season at Cole Farm is well and truly over. But don’t worry we’ll be back for more camping and back-to-basics bell tent glamping next year. This year marked our second season and we camped until the cows came home – quite literally! Their return to the field was something quite special to witness. Once the campers had gone home and we’d removed bell tents and bucket showers, we watched as farmer Kev opened the gates and called them in. They’d been eyeing-up the ever-growing grass from the surrounding fields during camping season and once they realised they chance had come to tuck in to it, their excitement was honestly palpable.

Pete’s Field in 2020

It’s something we’re looking forward to repeating again next year as we’ve already decided that Pete’s Field will be returning to Cole Farm in 2020. We’ve yet to confirm exact dates but we hope to start our season a little earlier in July. If you’re not already signed up to our mailing list, please do so if you want to be among the first to hear when the season will begin and end. Keep an eye on our Instagram, Facebook and Twitter accounts too – if you’re that way inclined.

Reviews of our camping and glamping site near Folkestone

After two successful pop-up camping seasons, we think we’ve proved that Pete’s Field at Cole Farm is  bit of a winner. The field at Cole Farm is a fab spot with amazing views and beautiful light. We feel incredibly lucky to have had use of it for a few weeks in the last two years and are thrilled that we’re being welcomed back in 2020. When it comes to glamping near Folkestone, we’re the closest site – and there’s a bit of a buzz about the town at the moment. We’re also just off the North Downs Way and saw a definite increase in the number of campers arriving on foot this year. We’d love to see more. The Pete’s Field style of quiet, laid-back camping and bell tent glamping with campfires has proved popular too and we’ve been bowled over by some of the reviews we’ve received on Cool Camping.

More feedback

We’re always happy to hear feedback from campers whether that’s by way of a review, in person or by email. We are actually a camping club and those of you who subscribe to our mailing list can have a say on how we run things. For that reason we hold an annual general meeting of Pete’s Field Camping Club. We hold this at The Cat and Custard Pot pub, just a couple of hundred metres from Cole Farm. Anyone who would like to join us for the 2019 meeting is more than welcome from 7.30pm on Wednesday, October 9th.
