Pete’s Field pop-up campsite in Kent is returning to Cole Farm for another summer of back-to-basics camping — and bookings are open now. The 2022 season will start on Friday July 15th and run until the August Bank Holiday which falls on Monday August 29th this year. You can choose to pitch your own tent, to stay in one of our bell tents or to go all out and stay in our camping cabin which now sits in the top corner of Pete’s Field.
Pitch your own tent
We have 20 pitches for people with their own tents. All are off grid and have use of an off-ground fire pit or bowl included in the price. We do not allow cars in the field – so kids can roam freely. But this does mean you need to be prepared to walk your stuff to your pitch. We provide a few wheelbarrows to make this a little easier. Pitch prices have not changed in 2022 which means it’s £15 per adult and £5 per child per night. You can read more about the campsite here.
Stay in a bell tent
There are four bell tents at Pete’s Field, set up in a sheltered spot with views across the camping field. Each is set up with a double mattress on a futon base, two fold-out mattresses for kids and a box of cooking kit. They also have a picnic bench and a fire pit outside. Prices are £90 per night for a family of up to four. We do not rent them to more than two adults. You can read more about our bell tents here.
Pete’s Field Cabin
The top spot on site is Pete’s Field Cabin which sits at the top of our camping field. It offers lovely views across the Kent Downs and is the only place on site with electricity and its own running water. During camping season, glampers who stay here share facilities with other campers which means flushing loos a short walk away and our lovely open-air bucket showers. If you can’t wait for camping season to begin, the cabin gives you the opportunity to visit Pete’s Field outside of season as it is open from April 1st. Read more about the cabin here.
