Introducing Pete’s Field @ Cole Farm – a quiet campsite on the Kent Downs with campfires allowed
We’re excited to be launching a pop-up campsite on the Kent Downs for four weeks in August! Pete’s Field campsite will be popping up at Cole Farm in Paddlesworth from Friday, August 3rd until Sunday, September 2nd. It’s a great spot with beautiful views across the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – the perfect place to pitch a tent and watch the sun set over the surrounding countryside.
It’s going to be camping the way we like it – peaceful, back-to-basics tent camping with campfires allowed. Having said that, we’ll also be putting up three bell tents for people who don’t fancy pitching their own so everyone can come and enjoy a little taste of life in the Garden of England from this special place we’ve found.
Cole Farm is a small working cattle farm which has been in the Clayson family for more than 100 years. They are kindly letting us use their field during the school summer holidays for Pete’s Field pop-up campsite. It’s in a quiet hamlet with not much around but with footpaths, a pub and a tiny church a few steps away, what more do you need? It’s also in a great place for anyone wanting to visit the seaside at Folkestone or Hythe, historic Canterbury or for hopping across the Channel to France. Anyone who’s been to Cole Fest, the farm’s annual one-day music festival, knows the spot.
Pitch camping prices start at £15 per adult, per night and it’s just £2.50 for kids. Bell tents start at £85 per night including two adults and two children.

Fingers crossed for good weather in August – hope to see you there!
